AccountView system passwords

Note: Some users access the AccountView system through another application. When they log into the other application they can access this one without logging in again. Those users are sometimes referred to as single sign-on (SSO) users. This topic is intended for the users who log into the system directly using a login ID and a password.
To log in to AccountView for the first time
The first time you log in with a login ID and a password, you may be prompted to change your password. You should also add a password hint.
- Enter your login ID and password. Or click Sign Up to create your login credentials.
- Click Login.
- If you are a new user, or if your password has expired, create a new password and password hint and click OK.
- If you see the User Agreement, read it. If you agree, click Agree.
Changing your AccountView password
When you change your password you can also add or change your password hint. If you do not have a password hint, then use these instructions to create one.
- Click My profile.
- Click Change Password.
- Type your current password.
- Type your new password twice.
- Add or change the password hint to help you remember your password.
- Click Save.
Reset a client's password for AccountView
If a client forgets their login password for AccountView, have the system generate and email the client a new, temporary one which the client must change.
Note: If a client is having trouble logging in, determine if the client's system access has been disabled. If it is disabled, confirm within your organization before enabling it.
- In AccountView, go to the Clients tab.
- Select the client and click Edit Client.
- Confirm with the client that the email address in the Primary Contact area is correct.
- Go to the AccountView Access section.
- Confirm that the access is set to Enabled. If it is set to Disabled, confirm within your organization before enabling it.
- Click Randomly generate a new password and email it to the client.
- Click Save.
- Instruct the client to check their email and use the temporary password to log into the system.
