Install CI

Description

This topic describes how to install the Custodial Integrator (CI) application on the CI computer.

Steps

  1. Log into the computer on which you want to install Custodial Integrator, using a Windows login that is a member of the Administrators group on that computer.
  2. Open an Internet Explorer browser window and enter the CI Application installation URL: https://www.byallaccounts.net/CI/.A login and password are required to access this distribution page and are available on request for licensed customers.  This is not the same user name and password you use to access the AccountView application.  If you do not know the login and password, contact the ByAllAccounts representative who is helping you with the installation.

    Note: The user name and password are case sensitive.

  3. Click on the link for your accounting system.
  4. Click on the Install Custodial Integrator Now link.
  5. Choose to Run the file now (if your browser provides this option) or Save the file to disk and then double-click on the saved file to run the installation.
  6. If the wizard determines that it must install pre-requisite software it displays a listing of these items.  Click OK to continue.  
  7. If the wizard determines it needs to install Java RTE on the CI Computer then it presents installation screens for it.
    1. Review and accept the License Agreement. The Java Runtime installation proceeds and finally the Java Setup - Complete screen displays.
    2.   Click Finish to continue in the wizard.
  8. Continue with the wizard as it proceeds to install the CI Application on the CI computer.
    1. In Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Custodial Integrator click Next.
    2. In Setup Type, the Complete option is the default and installs CI in the default location with all documentation. Keep the default setting and click Next.
    3. In the Database screen, see that the default name for the CI database is BaaWpAci.  Keep the default name and click Next.
    4. In CI SQL Login Parameters, provide the SQL Server login id and password that the CI application will use to access its database. This login must minimally have the following SQL Server privileges for the database named in the previous dialog: public, db_datareader, db_datawriter. Enter the SQL login id and password. Click Next.
    5. In SQL Server, use the Browse button to locate the SQL Server’s computer/instance name.  SQL Server will by default be named hostname\SQLExpress where hostname is the name of the computer; be sure to choose the correct instance.
    6. Enter a login id and password for a SQL user that has “sa” or “dbo” privileges.  For example, if you installed Microsoft SQL Server Express to use with CI, use “sa’ logon password you created when installing it.
      (If the Windows Login you are using has “sa” or “dbo” privileges in the target database, then under Connect using you may select Windows authentication.) Click Next.
    7. In Start Copying Files, review the settings. Click Back to go back and alter settings. When the settings are correct, click Next.
    8. The CI Application installs and the CI database is created within the target Microsoft SQL Server.
    9. In InstallShield Wizard Completed click Finish.
